Michael was obviously by far the most courageous of the 2gether bunch. He survived 2 bouts of cancer (Hodgkins disease) and still had a smile on his face. Even though his death came so fast he went with a smile giving "thumbs up" to his parents mouthing that everything was ok and that he was sorry. Many people loved Michael because of his voice..his looks and his acting capabilities. To others Michael was even more...he was a role model who showed that life is always worth while living. RIP.

After years of chemotherapy, a bone marrow transplant, and twelve radiation treatments around his heart and lungs, Michael beat cancer twice. Michael started writing music at 9 years old and released a CD, "Make A Difference" when he was 11. Together with his grandmother he wrote a book called "There Are Survivors: The Michael Cuccione Story" about his experiences. For Michael's wish in the Make a Wish foundation,Michael played Charlie Giminski, portraying real-life cancer victim Charlie Dodson Hays, in the episode "Charlie". Michael's big acting break came in 2000 when MTV was casting roles for a boy-band parody group called "2Ge+her". He played the cute dewy eyed youngster of the group. though Michael was cured from his cancer, the treatments had left serious diaphram problems.Diaphragm problems made it difficult for him to properly move air through his lungs, and he sometimes taped episodes of "2Ge+her" with portable oxygen in tow. In December of 2000 Michael and his mom were in a minor car accident. As a result Michael was admitted to the hospital on December 4 for abdominal pain. He soon developed pneumonia. He remained on a respirator until "his lungs just gave out,".
